Aptly crowned the 'Edit King', Cam Bianchetti aka Late Nite Tuff Guy has been behind some of the biggest, grin-inducing reversions of all time. From straight-up edits to epic mash-ups, his ability to roll out a groove, focus-in on the funk and re-imagine the obvious, has made him one of the most in demand DJs on the planet.

From Chaka Khan to Chic, Sister Sledge to Sade, his golden touch has revitalized countless classics, while his Prince tribute nights have become the stuff of legend. “It's so great that the younger generation like the amazing music that came out during the disco era” he told us in an interview two years ago. “At a recent show someone came up to the DJ console to ask what track I was playing; it was Sylvester’s 'Make Me Feel Mighty Real', so even the most obvious tracks are new to some.”

This Saturday Late Nite Tuff Guy returns to Glasgow for an intimate party at The Berkeley Suite with ever on-point and fun-loving promoters, We Should Hang Out More, who have previously played host to the likes of JD Twitch, Krafty Kuts and Jacques Renault. Ahead of the date, we asked the crew to select their favourite LNTG edits, and with hundreds to choose from, they didn't disappoint. They also chucked in a few tickets for the party, so if you need to be there this Saturday night, skip to the end of the post to find out how to enter:

“An absolute belter of a tune, combining Soul II Soul and Chic for a bass-driven beauty. This edit contains a certain gravitas that immediately grabs you, with a summery feel-good vibe throughout. Constantly goes down a charm and always has us reaching for our air bass guitars.”

“Talking Heads and Acid House combine for the strangest, but most subtly wonderful edit in our record bags. As DJs it’s fantastic to include in any set thanks to its huge intro and outro (a blessing with any recording), and when the familiar drop lands crowds always start moving.”

“The bodacious 80’s bass and drum sounds give this track a kind of fiery neon energy that always provokes the dancefloor. Add a big female vocal and syncopated rhythm and you have a peak time WSHOM favorite.”

“The red-hot melody and quick tempo make up one of LNTG’s more house orientated edits. A four to the floor kick and swelling side-chain effect have a habit of connecting fists to the ceiling.”

“The original is possibly our favorite Aretha cut, so any edit or rework would have to be a thing of real technical beauty to get our attention and Cam’s is just that. The balance between the edited sections and instrumentation is spot on in every department.”
