The legendary disco outfit will play the Saturday headline slot at the three day festival, which takes place from the 9th-11th June.

Appearing at The Kelvingrove Bandstand, Glasgow’s oldest outdoor music venue, Rodgers will be joined by his band and outfit, CHIC, celebrating 40 years since they released their iconic, eponymous, debut album.

Responsible for some of the biggest and most popular disco hits of the 70s and 80s, including ‘Good Times’, ‘Freak Out’ and ‘We Are Family’, and a producer for artists including David Bowie, Madonna and Diana Ross, Nile Rodgers continues to write music with modern artists, featuring heavily on Daft Punk’s 2013 album ‘Random Access Memories’and collaborating with the likes of Disclosure and Tensnake.

Late last year, Rodgers announced that a new CHIC album, ‘It’s About Time’, would be released in 2017 to coincide with the anniversary of CHIC’s debut and the launch of highly influential New York nightclub, Studio 54.

Tickets for Saturday 10th June with CHIC ft Nile Rodgers will go on sale this Friday (10th Feb) at midday via Tickettailor.
