The Revenge and Auntie Flo have been nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year Award, as the shortlist of ten albums was revealed last night.

The award, which was founded in 2012, will see one winner take away £20,000, while nine shortlisted titles will receive £1,000 each. Other artists to make the shortlist include Young Fathers, Chvrches and FFS. See the full shortlist here.

‘Love That Will Not Die’ by The Revenge and 'Theory Of Flo' by Auntie Flo were both released last year to widespread critical acclaim, with the latter collaborating with Ghanaian artist Anbuley and South African co-producer Esa Williams for a beautifully realised journey, while The Revenge’s debut found him working with Sister Sledge as part of a 14 track hit of raw groove, house and disco. Both artists are the only nominations in the shortlist to represent electronic music from Glasgow.

The winning album will be announced at a ceremony being held at Paisley Town Hall on June 29th to tie in with the Paisley bid for UK City of Culture 2021.
