Celebrating 30 years since it opened its doors in 1987, the Sub Club will host a series of special events over the coming months, including the return of Sub Club Soundsystem in August - a two day party at the Barras Art & Design Centre.

The celebrations kick off on Saturday April 1st with Harri & Domenic hosting the official 30th birthday party at Subculture, where the long-standing residents will play all-night-long.

On April 8th Kink will perform his dancefloor-conquering live set at Subculture after topping RA's top live acts in the world for a second consecutive year. On April 15th Kerri Chandler will play alongside Harri & Domenic, before The Black Madonna returns on May 6th. Finally, Mr Fingers will perform live as Larry Heard on July 15th – his first live appearance in the UK for more than 20 years.

"The foundation of the Sub has always been built on the resident DJs who helm the key nights, most significantly the massively influential Optimo whose legendary Sunday weekly spanned an unbroken 13 years without ever booking a guest DJ," Mike Grieve, Sub Club's director told Resident Advisor.

"And of course Harri & Domenic whose Subculture Saturday nighter has now endured for 23 solid years. Having the Subculture boys bossing the booth for the April 1st birthday party pays due homage to their influence and the spirit of the Subbie."
