Some of Scotland’s most respected DJs will come together to play at a special #savefabric fundraiser at the Sub Club on November 20th.

In collaboration with Soma Records, the Sub Club will host Slam, Optimo, Harri & Domenic, Eclair FiFi and Denis Sulta on the night, as well as long-standing Fabric resident DJ Terry Francis.

The #savefabric campaign was launched after Islington Council revoked the iconic club’s license in August following the suspected drug-related death of two clubbers and intense pressure from Police officials.

For many, the move to close Fabric was seen as a heavy-handed, ill-advised and out of touch response to drug-related issues in club culture, and Fabric plans to challenge the decision in court.

The event at Sub Club will present the last chance to raise additional cash for the campaign before the case comes to court on Friday 25th November, with all proceeds going towards the campaign fund. Attendees are encouraged to donate as much as they can with a suggested minimum donation of £10.

Last month Fabric released a 111-track compilation featuring music from artists affiliated with Fabric Records and their artist-led label Houndstooth. Contributions came from the likes of Slam, Skream, Nightwave and Tuff City Kids to name a few, with proceeds going towards the #savefabric campaign.

The #savefabric fundraiser takes place at the Sub Club on Sunday Nov 20th. Advance tickets are available from Resident Advisor priced at £10 (excl fees).
