Some of Glasgow’s hottest DJ talent will play a charity fundraiser at SWG3 next month, with all profits going towards the medical bills of local lad, Stuart Nixon, who was involved in a serious road accident.

Organised by family and friends of Stuart, ‘Long Live Love’ will take place on August 7th, featuring prolific Glaswegian producer, Rustie, who released his second album ‘Green Language’ last year to critical acclaim. Rustie will also be joined by fellow Glaswegian heavyweight, S-Type - who's been making a lot of noise on globally renowned label, LuckyMe - as well as fast-rising grime superior, Inkke, and ever-dependable local selectors, David Barbarossa and Sam Vitamins.

Stuart Nixon suffered a severe head injury as a result of the accident which happened while on holiday in Turkey last month, leaving him with a fractured skull and two brain bleeds for which he was placed in a medically induced coma. With his medical bills exceptionally high, his family and friends have rallied round to raise funds via a gofundme page where you can read more about the accident and how your donations will help.

Long Live Love will run from 7-2am at the SWG3 complex, offering street food and cheap booze, as well as a raffle to win signed merchandise by the likes of Django Django, Mogwai and Idlewild. With more names to be added to the already impressive lineup, this is an event which should truly benefit from Glasgow’s community spirit.

Rustie, S-Type, Inkke and more will feature at Long Live Love at SWG3 on August 7th (please note the date has changed from Aug 8th). Advance tickets can be purchased for £8 from Resident Advisor or £10 OTD.
