One of the most respected institutions in electronic music is set to come to Glasgow on the 26th-29th March, as the Red Bull Music Academy heads out on tour. Also rolling through Bristol, London and Manchester, the tour takes over a different locale each week for a unique plethora of events that draws on each city’s cultural heritage. Each city will play host to a diverse programme which includes club nights, shows, lectures, workshops, daytime parties and live radio broadcasts from some of music’s most eminent emissaries.

With Glasgow’s rich musical heritage and buzzing electronic music scene, you can expect some of the city’s local luminaries to feature alongside the biggest names in the business. Highlights of the recently announced programme include a special art & music installation at the Gallery of Modern Art curated by Numbers, a night of disco decadence provided by Dimitri From Paris and Prins Thomas at The Berkeley Suite, an Astral Black showcase featuring Danny Brown, Mumdance, Jon Phonics and DJ Milktray, plus a night with LuckyMe at the Glue Factory where Mykki Blanco will perform alongside Naked and Éclair Fifi. Other events include a lecture with the aforementioned Danny Brown, a live radio broadcast with the likes of Nightwave, Optimo, Harri & Domenic and Inkke, and a night at Subculture with Derrick May. We’ll let you take all that in for a moment, then once you’ve caught your breath head over to the Red Bull Music Academy site to read more.
