With views of his incendiary track ‘Vulcan’ soaring over two million, Paisley MC, Shogun, has attracted widespread media attention over the last twelve months, as well as claiming support slots for the likes of Bugzy Malone and Pharaoh Monch.

His brutally honest lyrics and animated flow have made him a focal point for Scottish grime, helping to expose the burgeoning scene and nascent talent who will hopefully find the same recognition.

Now the subject of a new documentary series curated by Idris Elba celebrating some of the best emerging talent from around the UK, Shogun takes us to his hometown of Paisley, with a reality-checking insight into life as teenager growing up on the outskirts of Glasgow.
