Summer may seem like distant memory now, but we’ll always have the music. If you were lucky enough to catch Sister Sledge at Kelvingrove Bandstand back in June, you may have headed down to the freshly refurbished Sub Club afterwards to catch two of Glasgow’s finest, The Revenge and OOFT! going back-to-back all night long.
Over four hours the dynamic duo unleashed the feel-good, mixing funk-fuelled disco with sun-kissed edits and classic grooves. Things got a little more heated towards the end of the night as the tempo increased, with whistles of appreciation audible in the mix, as OOFT! explains:
“We got the booth to ourselves all night long for the final party of the Sub Club's re-launch weekend back at the end of June. Everyone was in high spirits after the fantastic Sister Sledge gig at the Kelvingrove Bandstand earlier in the evening so the music is suitably joyous. As it's a live recording there are some pops and crackles, plus the odd bit of crowd banter. What a great night.”
