One of our favourite production duos, Mermaids, have unveiled the first release on their new label Goodship Records, with a three track EP called ‘Night Walkin’. Having been on the radar since Jackmaster included ‘Part 1’ of the release on his 2014 ‘Mastermix’, there has been an air of anticipation around when it would become available, with a prospective date scheduled for late March/early April. Having already delivered quality EPs on the likes of Glasgow Underground, Young Adults and A Friend In Need, the launch of MermaidS’ own imprint will come as exciting news for fans of their sound.

Showcasing their ability to straddle slow-mo grooves, sparkling 80’s disco and hypnotic, filtered house with effortless style, ‘Night Walkin’s three parts exemplify every shade of the duo’s talent. From strutting vocal funk to delectable synths and burning basslines, we’re already in love with this release, and the Goodship is most definitely about to set sail.

MermaidS’ ‘Night Walkin’ EP will be available via Goodship Records late March/early April. Keep an eye on MermaidS’ Facebook page for more info.
