A Love From Outer Space – Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston (May 7th)

A Love From Outer Space was born in an intimate basement called The Drop in 2010, with hosts Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston (one half of The Hardway Brothers), using the opportunity to experiment with slow-mo sounds ranging from chugging house to delirious disco and dub. The antidote to “genre fascism” and cheap thrills, Weatherall describes the night as “an oasis of slowness in a world of increasing velocity”. Having taken the party to clubs and festivals across the globe, A Love From Outer Space returns to Glasgow for a night at The Art School on May 7th. (The Art School / Facebook Event / Tickets)
