There can be few more idyllic locations for a party than Scotland's Isle of Skye, and with some of Glasgow’s favourite DJs taking a trip north this April, Skye Live is looking like the perfect start to the summer festival season.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Skye Live returns on the 29th and 30th April, taking place in the island’s largest town, Portree, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.

This year, organisers have bolstered the electronic side of the line-up with a Glaswegian team-sheet which includes Jackmaster, The Revenge, Denis Sulta and legendary Subculture residents, Harri & Domenic. Sub Club will also be further represented by Sub Rosa, Vicious Creatures and Thunder Disco Club's Hammer, while Foto Recordings head-honcho and Berkeley Suite Resident OOFT! will also be in attendance.

“Glasgow has an amazing array of dance talent, and as a festival we have developed very strong links with the Glasgow dance scene, both as promoters and as DJs”, says Niall Munro, Skye Live organiser and founder. “It's amazing to have the opportunity to bring that buzz and energy into a different environment on our home island. It's going to be one hell of a party!”

International talent is also represented at this year’s festival with Innervisions duo, Âme, appearing alongside Ivan Smagghe, Simian Mobile Disco, Patrice Baumel, Robag Wruhme and Bicep.

"The Isle of Skye offers a unique setting for any festival" continues Niall. "We have worked hard to create an interesting line up of artists which moves across a range of musical styles - from dance & electronic to contemporary and the best of roots influenced Scottish music."

Weekend and day tickets for Skye Live 2016 are available in advance from Eventbrite priced at £95.00 and £55.00 (excluding fees). The festival takes place on the 29th and 30th April at Portree’s King George V park. Check the full lineup below:
