Illyus & Barrientos have unveiled a new series of parties called Black Market, described as “an underground and off-the-record experience where exhibition, music and energy creates a connection between the residents, guests and dancers.”

With a growing reputation for delivering solid house jams on labels like Glasgow Underground, Exploited and Suara, the duo will launch Black Market at The Admiral on Friday March 31st, with regular pop-up parties taking place in various locations there after.

At the first event they’ll be joined by Crazy P’s Ron Basejam, whose parallel solo career has seen him deliver slick disco and groove-laden house on the likes of Futureboogie, Wolf Music and Razor-N-Tape.

Illyus & Barrientos started a new radio residency on Radio Magnetic last month under the Black Market title (listen to the first instalment below), while their first release of 2017 was a dark and bumping cut on Yousef’s Circus Recordings called ‘Govanized’.

More info about Black Market can be found at the Facebook Event and advance tickets are available for £7 (excl fees) from Eventcube.
