Hudson Mohawke has announced that he’s scored the soundtrack to forthcoming Ubisoft video game ‘Watch Dogs 2’. The Glaswegian producer will release the soundtrack as an album called ‘Ded Sec’ on Warp next month, featuring 16 new tracks.

Speaking about the process behind the score, Hud Mo said: “I wanted to use the palette of some cult sci-fi soundtracks, but incorporating my own style. It’s been a real learning experience and even a challenge at some points, but very rewarding in terms of expressing myself creatively.”

‘Ded Sec’ follows production work on ANOHNI’s ‘Hopelessness’ and Kanye West’s ‘The Life Of Pablo’, as well as the release of 2015 album ‘Lantern’.

Set in the San Francisco Bay Area, 'Watch Dogs 2' follows Marcus Holloway, a young hacker living in the birthplace of the tech revolution. He must execute the biggest hack in history by taking down an invasive operating system being used by criminal masterminds.
