NEW YEAR'S EVE

LA CHEETAH CLUB NYE 2015

Make no mistake, Hogmanay at La Cheetah will be explosive, and as always the subterranean sweatbox has secured a ridiculously on-point lineup. Heading the bill is DJ Sprinkles, known for her colourful DJ sets and deliciously hedonistic grooves (check critically acclaimed album ‘Midtown 120 Blues’). Support comes from essential Berlin producer, Palms Trax, as well as a live set from local luminary, Sparky. The ‘DABJ Young Team’ and La Cheetah residents will also be spinning across two floors. (£20 advance/La Cheetah/FB Event)

OPTIMO HOGMANAY

Promising “full trademark production with a guarantee it will be the best ‘bells at midnight’ moment you will experience anywhere”, Optimo return to The Art School on NYE with your ever reliable hosts JD Twitch & JG Wilkes. They’ve invited delectable disco duo, Noo, to perform their debut live show, and with two Optimo Music releases under their belt, they’re golden grooves have got a very firm stamp of approval. Auntie Flo, Esa and Andrew will also be bringing their Highlife highs to The Vic Bar. (£23 advance/The Art School/FB Event)

NYE SUBCULTURE W/ JOHN TALABOT AND HARRI & DOMENIC

For many people, there will be only one option for NYE and that’s Subculture at the Sub Club. With celebrated residents Harri & Domenic toasting another exceptional year of quality parties, the addition of Barcelona’s John Talabot is satisfying bonus. A Subculture favourite, Talabot’s releases on Permanent Vacation, Young Turks and Hivern Discs boast the type of emotive hooks and raw grooves which will stay with you well into 2016. (£25 advance/Sub Club/FB Event)

ON THE HOUSE & BROKEN DISCO PRESENTS RESET ROBOT

The Drygate Brewery is fast becoming one of Glasgow’s most desirable club spaces, boasting a stripped-back warehouse vibe which has proved popular with many of the city’s burgeoning promoters. On NYE, On The House team up with Broken Disco to bring Reset Robot to town. With releases and remixes on Truesoul, Drumcode and Cocoon, you can expect the Portsmouth producer to go dark and heavy as 2016 dawns. Support comes from local favourites Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos. (£20/25 advance/Drygate Brewery/FB Event)

ELECTRIC FROG AND THUNDER DISCO CLUB PRES. TODD TERJE LIVE

Todd Terje has become something of a cult artist when it comes to performing in Glasgow, as he never ever fails to deliver. Anyone who was there to witness the ultimate bounce during ‘Inspector Norse’ at the Barrowlands last year will concur to that. With his debut album ‘It’s Album Time’ still a firm favourite, he’ll be bringing his triumphant live show to SWG3 to make sure 2016 starts with some hi-energy, disco delirium. Unfortunately this is sold out, but keep an eye on the Facebook event for last minute sales. (SWG3/FB Event)

NEW YEAR'S DAY

PLATFORM 18 PRESENTS NYD AT THE DEPOT

After another successful year on West Street which saw Platform18 resident and founder, Ivan Kutz, consolidate his reputation as one of Glasgow’s most exciting new DJ talents, the party is due to descend on The Depot for New Year’s Day. Featuring an all-star cast of Cassy, Tini, Slam, Nastia and residents, the stage is set for a 12 hour marathon in a heated warehouse, where dubby, tech flavoured beats will be the order of the day. That and the traditional steak pies provided by Food In The Hood. (£25/30 advance/The Depot/FB Event)

SUB CLUB PRESENTS KAOZ THEORY WITH KERRI CHANDLER

Kerri Chandler is a house music great, a name which never fades and someone who continues to innovate. Whether you’re a fan of early releases on King Street Sounds and Nervous or you’re into the bumpin’ output of MadTech, you’re in safe hands when Kerri is in the booth. On New Year’s Day he presents his new imprint Kaoz Theory at the Sub Club alongside label-mate Stephane Ghenacia. With KT’s inaugural compilation featuring fresh cuts from the likes of Detroit Swindle and The Martinez Brothers, expect Kerri to set the tone for the year to come. (£15 advance/Sub Club/FB Event)

SUNDAY CIRCUS 9 YEARS OF NYD

As Sunday Circus embark on their 9th year of nomadic, sporadic parties, they will also be celebrating 9 years of their legendary New Year's Day crack-on. With previous guests including Matt Tolfrey and Ivan Smagghe, they’ve invited two Berlin-based selectors to lead proceedings at The Art School on Jan 1st, with Wolf + Lamb’s Maayan Nidam joined by Bill Patrick, an underground DJ who is hugely respected by those in the know. Both guests have a reputation for expertly crafted sets, and with ten hours to play with, they’ll really be able to flex. (£12/15/18 advance/The Art School/FB Event)
