Sub Club, Slam and Jasper James have all won at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards which took place last night in London. Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and The Revenge also claimed awards, meaning that every nomination from Glasgow won in their category.
The awards, which are promoted by DJ Mag but voted for by the public, features a number of categories including Best DJ, Best Label and Best Live Act, where the focus is solely on British talent, music and enterprise.
Representing what’s been an exceptional year for electronic music in Glasgow, The Revenge won Best Album with his debut ‘Love That Will Not Die’, Slam and Soma Records won Best Comp with 'Slam Present Transmissions: Glasgow’, Jasper James won Best Breakthrough DJ and Dixon Avenue Basement Jams won Best Label. Sub Club also claimed Best Small Club. Congratulations to all the winners, they couldn’t be more deserved in our opinion...
