Eskimo Dance, the influential grime showcase and rave founded by Wiley, has announced the first phase lineup for their inaugural Scottish event in Glasgow.

Taking place on the 21st May with a six hour party at the O2 Academy, the aforementioned Wiley will be joined by MCs such as Ghetts, Big Narstie, D Double E, Footsie, P Money, Elf Kid and Ransom FA, while DJs on the night will include Target, Maximum, Elijah & Skilliam and Glasgow’s own Rapture 4D. More names are still to be added to both elements of the lineup.

Responsible for bringing together some of the biggest MCs of the day, Eskimo Dance originated in London in 2002 and quickly picked up notoriety as a chaotic, raw and highly competitive epicentre for grime, with the likes of JME, Skepta and Kano all cutting their teeth there.

After a hiatus, Eskimo Dance returned in 2012 with a huge party at London’s IndigO2, before establishing itself as a nationwide brand with events across the country. The upcoming event in Glasgow will be the first outside of England.

Eskimo Dance Glasgow takes place on Saturday 21st May at the O2 Academy. Advance tickets are available from Ticketweb at an early bird price of £11.25 (inc fees).
