Introducing the sound of a sunny day in Glasgow (followed by a strangely quiet night on the dancefloor).
Produced by Edwin Organ - an entirely new talent who has been lighting up some key blogs recently - ‘Charlie’s House Cut’ is the type of sugary-sweet, multi-coloured cocktail which will make you feel drunk and in love. Its woozy synths are comparable to an alco-pop induced sugar rush, while lively drums and quirky hooks give the track an instant kick - a sound which is somewhat at odds with Organ's inspiration...
"This song is an ode to the unfulfilling night out - to paying £10 entry on a Wednesday night, only to find the dance floor empty” he says. “You take solace in that fact that you don't have to queue to take a leak. You stand there in awkward silence with Darren, who's all white shirt and whiter lines. This sweat box is his domain."
