Denis Sulta has been given the accolade of ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards which took place last night in London.
The awards, which are hosted by DJ Mag but voted for by the public, feature a number of categories including Best DJ, Best Label and Best Live Act, where the focus is solely on British talent, music and enterprise.
Sulta was up for ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ alongside Conduct, Cristoph, Mafia Kiss and Ross From Friends.
2016 has been a hugely prolific year for Sulta, both in the studio and behind the decks. Jackmaster featured two of his tracks, the broken beat epic ‘MSNJ’ and ‘Dubelle Oh XX’ on his DJ Kicks compilation, while Sulta also launched his own label ‘Sulta Selects’ with the emotively charged ‘Nein Fortiate’ – a set staple for the likes of Dusky and Skream over the summer.
The launch of his label also coincided with a national ‘Sulta Selects’ tour, taking in dates everywhere from The Nest in London to Hidden In Manchester, while he also made a Space Ibiza debut for Annie Mac and was invited to attended Red Bull’s coveted Music Academy in Montreal. The only way is up.
