Masters of Ibiza’s terrace parties, and in particular the garden at DC10, the French trio of Shonky, Dyed Soundorom and Dan Ghenacia, aka Apollonia, are one of dance music’s most revered and respected super-groups. Their back-to-back sessions at Circoloco, as well as closer to home at the Rex Club in Paris and numerous other venues around the world, find them in perfect sync, often playing extended sets that can peak over ten hours.

The ApolloniaMusic label, launched in 2012, represents the trio’s musical roots, which stretch way back to the 90s when they formed a friendship after meeting at infamous Paris afterhours party, Batofar. Showcasing everything from hypnotic techno to grooving deep house, Shonky has just unveiled his latest release for the label, the trippy ‘Tyrolien’ EP, featuring four paranoid cuts designed to make people lose their minds and move their feet.

This Sunday (16th), Shonky will make the journey to Glasgow where he joins On The House and Broken Disco for their annual Easter Sunday party, taking over Drygate Brewery for a special evening/night session. One of Glasgow’s most exciting club spaces, comprised of a dark warehouse interior and an expansive terrace on the fringe of the Merchant City, it’s the perfect place to hear Shonky do his thing. With support from On The House resident Raeside, Broken Disco’s Carter and Denver Brooks, as well as a visual showcase from VJ Planet Arm, it's shaping up to be a serious session.

Ahead of the party we asked Shonky to share five of his favourite records he’s playing out at the moment, producing up-front releases from Youandewan, Ion Ludwig and Anestie Gomez. Expect to hear a few of these on Sunday, and remember you can win two tickets to the event by jumping to the bottom of the page and following the instructions:
