We were trying to think just what could make a standard Monday afternoon more bearable and after much deliberation we decided another competition was in order - having something to look forward to always makes the time go much quicker. So our good friends at Mixed Bizness have kindly offered up two free guestlist places for next Friday's How's Your Party? and the line up, as always, is exceptional.

Making only his second ever appearance in Glasgow is Riva Starr. Over the past five years the Italian innovator has remixed everyone from Green Velvet to Arthur Baker, Chromeo to Plan B, leaving a mark of unmistakable quality in his wake. Having been in production for over ten years before he settled on his current guise, the highly acclaimed producer managed to cultivate a wealth of experience and skill before exploding onto the scene under the name Riva. Now, with his own label, Snatch! and a stream of incredible releases under his belt, the summer of 2011 is shaping up to be his biggest yet. With the hugely popular single ‘I Was Drunk’ appealing to the mainstream masses and debut album ‘If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade’ also bringing together an underground flavour with accessible appeal, there is no doubt Riva is on course to become one of the House music greats.

Joining Riva on the night will be one of Glasgow's most exciting up and coming producers, HaHaHa. We've of course been banging on about him for some time, but thankfully now the wider world is beginning to take notice. Making fans out of the likes of Martyn, Carte Blanche and Sinden, his futuristic House sound will be perfectly matched to the mighty Riva Starr and with his recent EP, 'Adzuki Beans' picked up by A1 Bassline's 'Tighten Up' label there is no doubt he is destined for very big things.
